Learning to take responsibility and ownership is important. This book helps you do it.

My friend Jeff Klumpp recommended it to me. I was pretty skeptical going into it. Not very skeptical coming out of it.

I have noticed that there are many opinions about this book. It almost seems like people say they have read it, but have not OR they have actually read it and walk away with a totally different perspective. I find the material to be very relatable to the concepts of servant leadership. However, I see quite a few people that seem to take the exact same materials and apply it to a command and control structure.

I need to come back and read it again.

One of the biggest lessons that I took away from this is: (1) as the leader, you are accountable; (2) you want to ask “why” and lead with “why”.

Here is a nice summary Nice Summary from Bhrett McCabe.
